Despina Papadimitriou is Professor of History at Panteion University of Social and Political Sciences, Department of Political Science and History. Her research interests focuses on contemporary Greek and European history, ideological analysis with emphasis on political conservatism and extremism and on the history of concepts. Vasiliki (Billy) Tsagkroni
Short bio
Vasiliki (Billy) Tsagkroni is Senior Assistant Professor of Comparative Politics at Leiden University’s Institute of Political Science. Their research focuses on political communication, populism, radical right parties, crisis management, political marketing and branding, and EU politics. Their work has appeared in leading journals as well as numerous edited volumes. They hold a PhD from Queen Mary University London (2015), a MA from Panteion University of Athens (2008) and a BA from the same institution (2005).
Artemisia Athanasiou

Artemisia Athanasiou holds a PhD from the Department of Political Science and History at Panteion University. She completed her postgraduate studies in Modern History in the same department and holds a BA in History and Archaeology from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. During her doctoral studies, she received a full scholarship from the State Scholarships Foundation. She has held research-related positions affiliated with Brown University, Panteion University, and the American College of Greece. Her research interests focus on contemporary political history, with an emphasis on the far right, authoritarian regimes, and collective memory.
Kostas Katsoudas
Short bio
Kostas Katsoudas holds a PhD in Political Science & History from Panteion University. He earned a Master’s degree in Comparative History from the Autonomous University of Barcelona and a Bachelor’s degree in Communication & Mass Media from Panteion University. He has taught as Advisory Research Staff at the Hellenic Open University and has served as a Teaching Assistant at the Global History Laboratory of Princeton University. His research interests focus on 20th- century Greek history, with an emphasis on the manifestations of the far right and anti-communism.
Rigas Raftopoulos
Short bio
Rigas Raftopoulos is a Historian with a summa cum laude degree in Contemporary History (“La Sapienza”) and a PhD (Teramo). He served as a Lecturer in the History of Modern Greece at Roma Tre University (2012–2022). His research, supported by fellowships from Princeton University and California State University Sacramento, focuses on modern Greek history. Key themes include the Greek Civil War, the Regime of the Colonels, and the Greek Diaspora in Italy, explored in his monograph Terra ancestrale. A member of the Italian Association for Southeast European Studies, he has contributed to academic volumes (Bloomsbury, Peter Lang) and participated in international seminars, including a recent one at Chongqing University.
